About From Brighton With Love
Hi, I'm Sally Evans and welcome to my website, which sells lovely, knitted home accessories.
I set up "From Brighton with Love" after moving to the city in summer 2012 with my product designer husband.
As a child I was constantly "making things", whether knitting, crocheting, sewing or constructing items from felt! After trying out a knitting machine on my art foundation course I was hooked and went on to do a degree in fashion knitwear at Leicester Poly (now De Montfort University).
I then spent the next 30 years in the London design industry, working on everything from art directing Mothercare photo shoots, to organising brainstorming days for some of the world's biggest soft drinks manufacturers.
I love to travel and am never happier than when wandering around a market, camera in hand, whether it is in India or Italy. I love architecture in all its forms whether modern or traditional, finding beauty and inspiration in all styles. Wildlife is another passion, especially birds and dare I say it I have become a bit of a "twitcher".
All items are handmade in my studio in the heart of bustling Kemptown.
